Method: This study employed a bibliometric-based scoping review approach, where bibliographic data related to Piper betle L were retrieved from the Scopus database and analyzed using R-Biblioshiny to map publication trends, author collaborations, and relevant research themes. Discussion: In vitro research results demonstrate broad antimicrobial activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, as well as anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that support wound healing. Formulation innovations, such as betel extract-based nanoemulsions, have been shown to increase the solubility, stability, and effectiveness of bioactive compounds, making them effective for oral health applications, particularly as a natural mouthwash for caries prevention. Comparisons across national and international studies demonstrate the consistent benefits of green betel leaf as a therapeutic agent, although further research in the form of large-scale clinical trials is still needed. Conclusion: Thus, green betel leaf can be seen as a potential source to support the innovation of safe, effective, and standardized herbal-based health products. Keywords: Active Ingredients; Piper betle L.; Green Betel Leaf; Health Implementation ER -
